In 2015, the Jungfrau Railway Group achieved the highest profit in its history with 36.2 million francs. It was thus able to exceed the previous year’s result by 19.3 per cent. The result will be commented on at today’s financial statement media conference in Bern.

In order to simplify its corporate structure, Jungfrau Railway Holding AG has made a conversion and purchase offer to holders of bearer shares of Harderbahn AG and BLM AG. Fol-lowing expiry of the offer deadline on 18 March 2016, the Jungfrau Railways Group now holds 94.0 % of all BLM shares and 87.6 % of Harderbahn shares.

The Jungfrau Railway recorded a traffic income of 134 million francs and thus was able to increase this by 10.3% in comparison to the previous year.

The Jungfrau Railway Group can look back on a successful year in terms of visitor frequencies. For the first time, over one million visitors travelled to Europe’s highest-altitude railway station. In 2015, 1,007,000 persons visited the Jungfraujoch, an increase of 16.3 per cent on the previous year and thus the best ever result in company history.
